Rodan is an independently owned and operated inspection company. We have been involved in various phases of the real estate and construction industries for almost 40 years. Our license is on the line with each and every inspection and we have a reputation of telling it like it is. When hired, we will present the facts and present our findings honestly always keeping your best interests in mind. We take this role very seriously. You are entrusting us to provide you with facts so you can make a very important decision. We have had individuals, families, attorneys, mortgage companies, banks and real estate agencies as clients. We continually do work for individuals, corporations and estates while inspecting different sizes and types of homes, condos, co-ops and variations of these classes. A healthy portion of our work involves new contruction, pre listings and walk-throughs.

We have inspected all types of structures from investments to new construction. We have memberships in ASHI, NACHI and MAHI. We are continuously taking courses to keep abreast of new innovations in our ever-changing industry. Today's modern construction techniques are much different from those used in historical homes and older commercial and industrial buildings. Education is the only way to keep up and we pride ourselves in this area.
We do not have all the answers but we know various specialist and experts in their fields. If we do not have the answer we will find it. Just as there is no perfect structure, no one knows everything.
Our work and honesty speaks for itself
The code of ethics of NY State and many of the National Associations including the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) prohibits its members from doing repair work on properties they inspect. This is an assurance that there will never be any conflict of interest by the inspector. The purpose of an Inspection is to provide an unbiased, objective third party report on the condition of the home.
We will not make any referrals, offer any individual names, firms etc. unless we are asked to. None of our associates have any "interest" in any of the firms, groups etc. we refer. We will provide at least three choices whenever possible and always state if we have worked with these people prior. You are under no obligation to use any company or specialist we suggest and we always recommend you ask your friends and neighbors.

After your inspection is complete, we hope you will continue to rely on us. We feel that we have an obligation to our clients to be available anytime in the future, whenever help is needed. We want you to know we will always be available if and when you have questions regarding your new home or another potential purchase. We want to be the people you approach with questions or problems concerning any real estate purchase. We are not engineers and cannot make structural evaluations, but if one is needed we will refer you to an appropriate expert. We are not shy or too proud. We know an occasion will arise when a true specialist, someone who may service our client faster and provide a more in-depth analysis, is needed. [Perhaps you may need a specialist such as a locksmith, a security firm, a plumber, an electrician or even a cesspool or septic expert.] If you need help, more than we can provide, we will assist in finding the answer or simply recommend someone who can provide it.
